Think of this hybrid paddle as a fiberglass-reinforced version of our carbon touring paddles. The Sting Ray blade shape is suitable for all types of kayaking from entry level right through long-distance touring. These paddles are available with the TLC adjustable ferrule system which is easy to use, even in rough open water conditions - no keys or tools necessary. The TLC allows the paddler to adjust the feathering from 30, 45, 60 RHC or LHC and clicks as it locks, assuring the paddler of a locked shaft.

The TLC, or “Turn Lock Coupler”, is Aqua-Bound’s adjustable ferrule system which allows the paddle to be feathered at several angles. Left handed paddlers, or paddlers who enjoy changing the angle of the paddle to suit the conditions will like the versatility of the TLC ferrule system.

No holes, no keys, no complicated instructions. An ingenious design, the TLC makes adjustability on the fly a breeze. Simply choose your desired feather angle, and with two fingers snug the TLC into the lock position to achieve a rock solid connection with no play whatsoever. The TLC does NOT allow for changes to the length of the paddle.
